The Plateresque chalice and ciboria also include fire enamel medallion accents along the cups and bases. The paten is relatively simple compared to its companion pieces, but features a wide base and decorative cross in the center.

The Plateresque style arose during the Italian Renaissance and is reminiscent of that time period. The Spanish style reached the height of popularity during the XV to XVI centuries. The Artistic Silver version of the Plateresque style incorporates a high polish silver finish and traditional detailing.
