Saint Paul is the Apostle of the Gentiles. He was converted from Judaism to Christianity while traveling to Damascus. He spent time preaching in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God, which incurred him the hatred of the Jews. He had to flee from the city, returning to his native Tarsus. Saint Paul is known for his many missions and for his interest in religious philosophy. He is honored with a feast day on June 29th. The Saint Paul statue honors the work of the saint with beautiful details set in fine pewter.
