Saint Patrick is considered one of the most popular saints. The Apostle of Ireland was born in Scotland, but was captured and transported to Ireland as a slave. During his captivity, he turned to God in prayer. When he was 20, he escaped following a dream from God which told him to leave Ireland by going to the coast. He was carried from Ireland with sailors who returned him to Britain. He is credited with converting Ireland and spreading Christianity in the area. The Saint Patrick statue by Jeweled Cross is made of fine pewter.
