Baptism Keepsakes

Your child's baptism is an important milestone in their life. A baptism is considered a rite of passage that cements the child's place within the faith. Some religions refer to baptisms as christenings, though both ceremonies involve the act of wetting the candidates head.

When performing a baptism, a variety of tools may be used. While many churches are able to supply the necessary items, some people prefer to bring their own that they may retain as a keepsake. Baptismal fonts, baptismal shells and candlesticks are all common items that are used during the ceremony and then retained as a reminder of the event.

Often, churches may choose to keep a supply of supplies on hand for the ceremonies in case the family of the candidate does not bring their own. A shell baptismal font or brass baptismal shell are common choices. The sea theme is a homage to the origins of the act.

Besides tools used for baptisms, we also offer a variety of special clothing to be worn while administering the sacrament. Our clothing selection includes bibs, stoles and other garments made of white with embroidered designs specific to the event. The priest or clergy member administering the baptism would wear the special clothing as part of the ceremonial garb.
