Advent Wreaths and Advent Candles

For Christians, Advent is the season that precedes Christmas, and is marked by a time of expectant waiting. During Advent, preparations are made for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus. It is also the beginning of the liturgical year and it always starts on a Sunday. The season offers the faithful the opportunity to share in the longing of the coming of the Messiah and reminds them to be alert for the Second Coming.
