Availability: In stock
Saint Apollonia was a virgin martyr that was killed in Alexandria during a local uprising against Christians. According to legend, she was tortured prior to death and all of her teeth were violently pulled out or shattered. Due to her gruesome tale, Saint Apollonia is regarded as the patroness of dentistry and those of suffering from dental pain or problems.
Matthew F. Sheehan is honored to offer St. Apollonia figures in a range of sizes from 6 inches to 42 inches tall. The Conrad Moroder design depicts the saint holding a pair of dental plyers. The religious statues are carved from wood and are painted using fine colored oils that enhance the detailing.
